Commissioned Sculptures Agreement

• Customer and Artist agree on concept of design

• Artist will estimate length of construction time
• Artist will estimate cost of project
• Customer is encouraged to monitor project

• Customer agrees where to locate sculpture
• Customer agrees to pay shipping, sales tax, installation, permits, and etc.
• Artist reserves artistic license
• Should customer decide to discontinue project at any time during project, customer will be billed for costs up to termination
• Customer agrees that should the completed project not meet the customers expectations, Artist will return 75% of projects costs to customer. Artist will then retain full ownership of sculpture to do with as he wishes.
• Payment Example:

• Set up checking account for artist
• 50% upon agreement, 50% on completion

NOTE:

This is only a agreement guideline concept. Each project has it’s own unique conditions and situations. Most of these situations can be discussed and worked out before the project commences. Often, projects need to be tweaked as the project proceeds and unexpected cost sometimes arise. Keeping in contact is important!
